Life Goals For a Woman

I am excited to share a few important life goals for women that will set you up for success in the future.

I am all about intentional living and a big part of that is creating life goals that speak to my beliefs.

And even though it’s not the start of the year, I believe that you can still set goals that you can work through and still become really successful.

New Year Resolutions are not the only goals you should set.

I have read plenty of amazing life goals for women in the past, but since working through all of that, I decided that I was going to create another list that better aligns with my values and journey right now.

Lucky for you, you can also use these goals to create something of your own.

Personal goals for a woman are something that will resonate with you and align better with your own journey.

Today, I would really love to focus on:

  • Different goals a woman should have to be successful

  • Creative goals in life for a woman to become financially free

  • Female life goals that bring the best out of you

  • And why women goals should be made a priority

If any of these resonate with you, you are going to love this post.

15 Epic Goals For Women

I am glad you are looking into life goals for women to help inspire come up with your own goals.

Setting goals helps trigger new behaviours, helps guide your focus and helps you sustain that momentum in life.

I thrive best when I am feeling motivated and even more when I accomplish something I set for myself.

Goals also help align your focus and promote a sense of self-mastery.

If you want to succeed with your goals, you need to be able to set them, manage them and adjust if needed.

Life Goals for women: 15 Attitude Changes to Create The Best Version of Yourself!

1. Make Health A Priority

I am not going to lie, I am no longer in my 20s and the 30s are crushing me.

This is simply because I didn’t properly look after myself in my 20s.

As soon as I got pregnant (when I turned 30), everything turned upside down.

I had a difficult pregnancy, after birthing my daughter my health issues continued and I am currently not allowed to have any more babies.

With that in mind, I made the conscious decisions to make my health a priority.

This meant working out more, I did a complete change to my diet to help me become more healthy from within and hopefully, I can manage to have one more child.

Here is what I have changed:

  • More exercise
  • Sleeping better (no more late-night clubbing)
  • No alcohol
  • I take a multi-vitamin daily
  • Eat more fruits and healthy foods that will heal my PCOS and hypertension

I have also created a self-care routine to help with mental health as this is really important.

One of the goals every woman should have and one that I highly recommend is looking after your mental health!

You can grab either my 21-day detox your body journal and planner here or my beauty and glow-up planner to help you create a self-care routine that works for you.

2. Stop Comparing yourself to other women

The one goal that you should have and follow is one that is all about you.

No, don’t become self-centred, instead, learn to put yourself first from time to time.

This is your year, so stop comparing yourself to other women and live the life you were meant to live.

Your journey is much more different than the journey of the next person.

You also do not know exactly what one person went through to get where they are right now.

Instead, focus on creating a life of your own while motivating and encouraging other women.

3. Create a powerful morning routine

My end goal every day is to ensure that I am doing the one thing that gets me closer to my dream life.

I have made it my business to study the daily habits of successful women

And most of them have a daily morning routine that just makes sense and works.

So what does a daily routine of a successful woman look like?

Go ahead and create a morning routine that works for you.

Enjoy this video I found on YouTube that is extremely motivating and will help you to create your own morning routine:

4. Have a savings goal

An independent woman with goals is one that strives to be successful with what she does.

One of the best goals for women is one that means that they become financially independent.

To become financially successful means making it a habit of saving a significant amount of money for future needs.

During a financial emergency, these savings will help you get out of that situation.

However, saving up money can be hard, especially for those struggling to make ends meet every month.

This means you need to make time to sit down and evaluate your personal financial situation.

Financially successful people are always thinking ahead and making plans should anything come up.

Plan for the future as you never know what could happen.

But if you have a specific aim or objective for setting aside money, it makes saving easier.

Not sure how to start setting aside money slowly, be sure to grab this tool!

It’s what I used when I decided to save over $10, 000 for my emergency fund.

5. Make it a priority to start investing

If you are not sure what goals in life for a woman to make a priority, I think finances should be it.

Did you know that most women are less likely to invest their money than men?

In fact, I am in my early thirties at the moment and I only recently started investing.

I made my first investment in January of this year.

Yay, me!

Investing is extremely important for women in order to be able to achieve a sense of financial equality and independence.

If you would like to reach your financial goals faster and retire early, start investing today.

Make it your goal to learn everything you need to know about investing.

When I was looking up goals for women that I could set up for myself too, investment caught my eye.

So I went and read books, watched YouTube videos and even contacted my bank to get some help.

Two books I really enjoyed were You Are a Badass at Making Money: Master the Mindset of Wealth and The Clever Girl Finance: Ditch debt, save money, and build real wealth!

Read these books if you can.

I encourage you to make a habit of putting money back towards your future, even if it’s a small amount.

Keep in my mind that investments always come with risks so you definitely want to do some research and maybe consult.

My recommendation is to definitely start small and work your way up.

I would start small with something like Acorn which allows you to invest for as low as $5.00!

6. Set a goal to read more

I have been setting specific reading goals each year.

Knowledge is power and the more you know, the more advantages in life you will get.

I am an entrepreneur so you will definitely catch me reading entrepreneurial books, blogs and magazines to further my entrepreneurial lifestyle.

When you read physical copies of books, you’re both giving yourself the chance to remember more information, as well as to rest more effectively.

Reading is a self-care routine that I indulge in at least twice a week.

If you want to know more about what I am reading, then check out this list of amazing books every entrepreneur must read to become successful.

You might find a goodie for yourself.

Don’t limit yourself to this.

Read a lot of books.

You can read self-help books, books on business, cookbooks, books on health & wellness, and even biographies.

7. Prioritize your mental health

There are plenty of personal goals for women that are designed to make you a better person.

And when I say better, I mean much healthier you mentally.

Mental health is just as, if not more, important than physical health.

It is really important that you show yourself a little love to reduce feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression right away.

I definitely make it a habit to write in my self-love journal so I can better understand what I am going through mentally.

Daily journaling can provide clarity for your thoughts and emotions.

Try writing for five minutes a day to start — write about any significant happenings or triggers in your day, or try jotting down three things you’re grateful for each day.

Other things I try to do for my mental health:

  • Keep in touch with friends and loved ones
  • Focusing on a few tasks at a time
  • Notice myself-talk which I write in my journal

And if things are looking really bad, I ask for help from a professional.

I am worth it and I will do anything to seek help.

8. Create passive and profitable streams of income

I am a content creator and serial entrepreneur.

My goal is to consistently create income streams that make me money on a daily basis.

Passive income in my opinion is the best type of income.

Passive income is income that takes little or no effort to bring in.

This means you can make money while you are sleeping, on vacation or just doing nothing.

It’s the kind of income people make without doing a large amount of ongoing work.

Examples of this are renting out real estate, selling digital products, or blogging.

Obviously, the majority of work is done upfront in order to make money later.

In order for you to earn passive income regularly, you need to do the heavy lifting to begin, either by earning extra money to invest or putting in the work upfront to create a product to sell.

Here are a few ways you can earn passive income:

9. Make it a goal to challenge yourself

Do you have self-confidence in yourself?

If you had to take a leap of faith tomorrow for whatever reason, would you take it?

I make it a habit to step outside my comfort zone once in a while.

For example, I am totally scared of heights, but my husband had me bungee jump for my 27th birthday.

Would I do it again?

Probably not, but at the time I challenged myself and achieved something great.

Now I can tell people that I once bungee jumped.

When you challenge yourself, you are telling your subconscious that you believe in yourself and that you are willing to back yourself in new circumstances and situations.

You never know what your outcome will be.

Find a way to step outside of your comfort zone and challenge yourself to do something new or try something new.

It could just land you a new job, a promotion, more money, better benefits, and who knows what else.

The positive results will definitely boost your confidence and lead you on a path of self-discovery.

10. Find a career you love

Working at a job year after year simply for the paycheck is not the way to live.

I would definitely encourage you to make a goal of finding a career that works and better aligns with your lifestyle.

I can understand doing this in your late teens, early 20s as you are figuring out life, but eventually, the goals every woman should have must include looking for and working in a career you love.

“Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life” is a great quote someone once told me.

This quote resonates so well with me on so many levels.

Basically, once you start doing something that you truly love, it will never really feel like a job

And bonus if it pays well.

One of the best goals for women is a goal that allows you to grow.

I have always envied people who absolutely loved what they did and couldn’t wait to roll up their sleeves and get busy on the job.

That’s why I made the conscious decision to work in jobs that matter and make me happy.

The stress you get from working in a job that you hate is not worth it.

11. Work On Your Personal Growth Goals

Personal growth is one of the goals every woman should have especially if they want to feel empowered and become successful.

If you set a goal for yourself, make a plan, and work on it every day, you will see personal development growth and progress.

Working on your personal development is really important for your mental health.

I already mentioned mental health but I wanted to talk more about why you should create a personal development goal and work on one.

Focusing on your own individual personal development plan will really enhance the qualities you hold within you and makes your dreams and aspirations turn into a reality.

I will recommend that you listen to inspiring podcasts, read books, and watch Ted Talks.

Take the time to educate yourself, learn more about effective time management, self-development, health & wellness, personal finances, relationships and whatever inspires you.

This will give you the power to make more informed decisions about your life.

12. Make it a goal to be more present

Life goes by so fast, especially if you are growing your career, going to school, raising kids or even travelling for fun.

You need to take the time to fully relax and take it all in.

Think about the last time you had dinner with someone, whether family, a colleague or a significant other.

How much of your time was spent experiencing that moment, taking in the sights, sounds, and smells and being completely present?

Or were you distracted, deep in your own thoughts or barely listening?

We are all guilty of this.

Life is inundated with distractions, both internal and external, that make it difficult to be truly present in the moment.

I want you to make it your personal goal to be more present, be more aware and enjoy life for what it is.

A few things you can do to be more present:

  • Be aware of your surrounding
  • Avoid distraction when you are doing something
  • Find an accountability partner
  • Say no to things that do not align with your goals
  • Keep a journal (use this one)

13. Follow Your Dreams

Do you have dreams?

Are you ambitious or looking to try out something new?

Whatever your dreams might be, this is the time to follow them.

Female life goals that focus on success are the best types of life goals.

Whether you have been thinking about starting a new business, learning a skill, trying out that hobby, it’s time to follow through and commit yourself to it fully.

I encourage you to make a plan this year to actually work on your goals.

No more postponing or procrastinating until a later time.

When I planned on starting my business, I used this Dream Business Planner to push me along.

14. Start a new hobby

If you are looking for more creative goals for women, consider starting up a new hobby.

Starting a creative project or picking up a hobby is the perfect way to better yourself.

It’s good for your mental health, it allows you to be around other people and it is really fun.

A  few hobbies for women to consider:

  • Painting
  • Dancing
  • Cooking
  • Blogging
  • Soccer
  • Baking

What makes this a hobby.

In my opinion, you need to dedicate yourself to doing it frequently and consistently.

For example, you might make it a thing for you to go swimming every Thursday evening.

15. Donate (Either Your Money Or Time)

If you have the time or the money, I really like the idea of donating money to a charity or organization that helps others.

Volunteering your time a few hours a week will leave you feeling accomplished and motivated to take on the world.

The knowledge that you are helping others is hugely empowering and, in turn, can make you feel happier and more fulfilled.

You can choose to support several smaller charities where you know even your small donation will make a big difference to them.

Or you can support one big organization that speaks to you.

Either way, make it your goal and priority to start donating this year.

Your own charitable donations can inspire those close to you such as family and friends to also give to charities.

There you have it, creative goals for women that make you better!
