Get Pinterest Followers Easily
With millions of users joining Pinterest and using the platform daily, it is one of the fastest and most used platforms out there. That’s why so many bloggers keep urging you to join it and hopefully start seeing some awesome results.
If you are starting out on a brand new Pinterest account like we did, Pinterest followers might be slow to start. But if you have tried everything and you are still wondering how to get followers on Pinterest, we will shade some light for you.
Just a little background about “Ladies Make Money Online,”: this blog was started in November of 2016. I wanted to create something that would bring me some passive income while I stayed home and started a family.
I also wanted this platform to be a platform that could help many other female entrepreneurs achieve their dreams of working from home. With this in mind, I started this blog with no Pinterest Followers, no Instagram followers, and no Facebook accounts.
And like you, I wondered how I was going to get Pinterest Followers. I didn’t know how I was going to gain traffic or what strategies to use to better position my brand.
Growing your Pinterest Followers
So why did I decide that I wanted to use Pinterest as one of my tactics to grow my blog? I decided this after doing some major research. A majority of my audience hangs out on Pinterest.
This meant that I needed to be on Pinterest to market and reach out to them this way.
Pinterest is not a followers game, meaning you do not need alot of Pinterest followers to get the results that you want.
THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD BE USING PINTEREST
- If you are a new blogger or have little to no traffic
- If you want to reach more clients, find out where they hang out, most likely on Pinterest
- If you want more visibility on your work and brand
ARE YOU USING PINTEREST BUT NOT SEEING RESULTS?
- Are you using this amazing tool but you still have not figured out how to properly use?
- Are you not reaching your audience
- Are you not getting traffic to your blog?
Remember Pinterest likes active users, this means you must be frequently and consistently. I pin an average of 35 pins per day. And 15 to 20 of those pins are my content. I pin third party pins to allow Pinterest to trust me as well as to get Pinterest followers from the content I pin.
Remember, you can’t pin all 30-40 Pins at once otherwise you will be marked as spam and possibly get your account suspended. That’s why I use a scheduling tool. I use the Pinterest strategies to get more blog traffic using Pinterest.
Before we look into a scheduling tool, please ensure your account is well optimized for better results by reading this post: The Strategy you need to Grow your blog with Pinterest.
Finding a good strategy on how to get followers on Pinterest requires having a well set up account.
Pinterest Followers Hacks to Use
Back to the scheduling tool! I personally use Tailwind to do all my scheduling (Try out for free) and I believe that has led me to get more Pinterest followers.
As you can see below I got an average of 398 Pinterest followers in 7 days. This is from my Tailwind platform. And I am pretty sure it’s because tailwind pins my work on a consistent basis.
You will hear contradicting information from many bloggers who believe that if you manually pin all your work you will get better results. But this is where the inconsistency starts. You can’t just decide to pin 10 pins at 7 am, another 20 at 10 am, and another 10 more at 1 pm and the rest of the pinning in the evening.
In order to get the most out of any social media platform, you need to find out exactly when your audience is usually online.
Depending on your audience, you might have more people on Pinterest at lunchtime and in the evening before bed, that is between 8 pm and 11 pm. There is one tool scheduling tool that can tell you and determine exactly when your audience will be online: Tailwind!
You will definitely get Pinterest followers if you are using Tailwind!
Not only will this tool help you get the most out of your Pinterest strategies, such as increasing traffic, but they will help you gain more Pinterest followers as you will always be present and available when your audience is online.
GROWING YOUR PINTEREST FOLLOWERS
We managed to increase our Pinterest followers in just less than 2 months by implementing a few strategies. Don’t get caught up on followers, focus on engagement and finding ways to increase traffic and your email list using Pinterest.
I am now gaining between 1000-1200 new Pinterest followers each month with my account and brands are constantly looking to work with me.
Remember, you do not need a huge following to get traffic with Pinterest. All you need is a Pinterest strategy!
FOCUS ON IMPROVING YOUR PINTEREST PROFILE
Using relevant keywords on your Pinterest profile will help you get found more in search engines. This includes using keywords on your profile name, Pinterest board titles, and descriptions, add it to your Pinterest graphics and your alt tag on your blog.
By optimizing your Pinterest bio and account, your followers will know exactly what you are about when they land on your page. This will attract more Pinterest followers as easily as people would want to connect if they know immediately what you can do for them.
Since I started implementing this strategy, my account almost doubled as my work was getting found.
BRAND YOUR PINTEREST ACCOUNT AND GRAPHICS
When people land on your account, make sure your profile picture, account, and boards are on brand. I created cover images for my boards just so I can make it look on brand and easy to recognize.
Another item you can brand is your Pinterest graphics. Pick 2 to 3 colors as well as fonts that will make your work recognizable. Don’t forget to add your website to your graphic images to keep with the branding aspect of your business.
Overall, you want to make sure your account aesthetic is branded. It took me about 5 hours to get it all set-up.
Updated: Looking hard for tips on how to get followers on Pinterest? Ditch the board branded idea. It won’t get you more Pinterest followers. I found it time-consuming and I have since stopped doing this.
My Pinterest graphics are still branded the way I want it to look.
INCREASE YOUR PINTEREST FOLLOWERS BY PINNING AWESOME PHOTOS
You need to post amazing photos on Pinterest if you wish to attract more followers on a daily basis. In fact, Pinterest wants you to post daily and produce new content as much as you can. The more amazing the photos are, the better. You can use stock photos as I do (Unsplash) or take your own unique images!
And do not forget your keywords. Keywords are crucial to getting found. If you are looking for tips on creating viral content each time, this might help! The more viral content you get, the more Pinterest followers you get!
You can also get stock photos from Ivory Mix as they are more feminine!
CREATE A PINTEREST BOARD DEDICATED SOLELY TO YOUR BUSINESS
The easy way on how to get followers on Pinterest is by creating niche boards. The first Pinterest board on my account is solely dedicated to my blog and brand.
I actually named it after my business URL, but you can use just your business name. All my Pinterest boards have descriptive keywords on them which help me get found should people do a search online or on Pinterest.
If its one thing you want to do in order to get more Pinterest Followers is to keyword your work on Pinterest as much as possible.
I find having niche boards and more of your own boards is the easiest way on how to get followers on Pinterest. I created 15 niche boards and gave them names that can easily be found on Pinterest.
JOIN GROUP BOARDS AND TRIBES TO BOOST YOUR PINTEREST GROWTH
Want to know how to get followers on Pinterest? Get on Pinterest group boards. I have a few Pinterest boards you can join, my most popular board is “Promote your blog” (no longer accepting contributors) – and I get a lot of my blog traffic from this.
You can find a list of 50+ Pinterest groups to join! Keep in mind, the more of your own Pinterest boards you create, the better! It’s definitely better than any Group!
Tailwind tribes are my all time favorite. The reach and traffic you get from it beat everything else I do to get blog traffic. And I only spend about 10-15 minutes on each platform per week.
You can my tailwind tribe here and you do not need to have a paid account! I barely touch my business on the weekend as this is family time, but I am still getting amazing traffic from using the Tribes feature.
USE A SCHEDULER TO GET MORE FOR YOUR ONLINE BUSINESS
Want to know how to get followers on Pinterest? Use an automated scheduling tool hands down! I use two, Tailwind and the Milo App!
I don’t see how I would remember to constantly pin to my over 30 plus group boards and pin to tailwind tribes every single day during specific allocated times.
Pinterest hates spammers, this means your pins need to be spread out throughout the day at the best time for your business. It is almost impossible to pin manually to get the best results.
I want my pins to show up on the smart feeds when most of my audience is online Tailwind helps me with this. Because I am online when my audience is online, I am getting more Pinterest followers every day. That’s about 30 followers per day!
Pinterest Followers App
I use the Milo App to get more Pinterest followers in a few easy steps. Other bloggers frown upon this app and so I am loving it. MiloTree takes advantage of the traffic you’ve already built and automatically converts it into new followers & subscribers.
Fast configuration. No technical or design skills necessary. Snappy site installation with our WordPress plugin or one line of code.
MiloTree saves you tons of time and hassle. Grow Instagram, get Pinterest followers, YouTube, Facebook, and your email list 24/7 from your one pop-up.
Remember, you just don’t want to get Pinterest followers that are irrelevant, you want your audience to subscribe, get blog traffic, and make money for your business. These are the main reasons I use Pinterest. It’s also a fantastic way to find new bloggers to network with! How do you use Pinterest?
